The wall section shows, from inside to outside, the stud, the sheathing, the house wrap, and lap siding with each course overlapping the one below. The siding butts to the trim at the head and sill of a window and starts at the bottom on a starter strip above the foundation. The roof-to-wall drawing shows step flashing climbing the line where the shingles meet the siding and the kick-out flashing at the bottom of that line directing water into the end of the gutter.
