PITTSBORO, N.C., September 1, 2026. Skyline Exterior Group has been named to Best of Chatham 2026, Chatham Magazine’s annual readers’ poll of the businesses Chatham County trusts most.
The company opened its doors in Pittsboro in late 2025. It made the list in its first year.

Best of Chatham is voted on by the people who live here. Residents nominate the businesses they rely on, then vote, and the winners run in the magazine’s Fall issue.
For a roofer, that vote means something specific. It comes from homeowners who have had a crew on their roof, or watched one work next door, and decided they would call the same company again.
The roof that came first
Skyline started with a promise. For every 100 roofs it installs, it gives one away, complete, to a veteran, first responder, or family that needs it.
The company did not wait for roof 100. In March, the crew replaced the roof on Grady Bendel’s home in Greensboro. Bendel is an Army veteran who lost his leg to an IED in Afghanistan.
He paid nothing. Skyline Exterior Group covered the entire cost.
FOX8, ABC45, Chapelboro, and Roofing Contractor magazine all covered it. Since then the count has reached 29 roofs toward the next one.
How the work gets done
Most of what Skyline does is full roof replacement: the old roof stripped to the deck, a new one on in a day or two, backed by a 50-year workmanship warranty. The rest is repairs, storm claims, gutters, and siding.
Every job is photographed from the first inspection to the last sweep of the yard, and the homeowner keeps the pictures. When someone calls, the crew is on the roof within 48 hours with a straight answer: fix it, or replace it.
